Cardinal Logistics is Hiring a Mobile Technician Near Kenosha, WI
- Read job order, observes and listens to truck in operation to determine and to plan work procedures.
- Must be proficient in troubleshooting and repairing the following systems: electrical, air conditioning, heating, steering and suspensions.
- Must be able to perform front-end alignment and replace transmissions, clutches, differentials, brakes, suspension parts and other components as instructed.
- Examines protective guards, loose bolts and specified safety devices on trucks and makes adjustments.
- Performs PM inspections and makes repairs as necessary.
- Ability and knowledge to perform a through FHWA inspection.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Has brake certification on file.
- Minimum of three years of documented experience repairing Class 8 equipment.
- Two years of DOT preventive maintenance inspections and two years minimum of brake inspections on trucks.
- Valid driver’s license is required. CDL is preferred.
- Ability to read a limited number of two to three syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between a series of numbers.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume and distance.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and use division in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished and written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
